“The Snug” offers 2 separate cosy and comfortable self-catering apartments located off the Main Street in Dunkineely .  This is a lovely seaside location on the Wild Atlantic Way with great beaches, stunning scenery and opportunities for enjoying outdoor activities.  From the house there are wonderful views of the sea and mountains.  With good WIFI The Snug also offers you the option of staying connected/ remote working.

In our renovations we have provided a 2-bed unit upstairs  and a completely separate 1-bed unit downstairs.  Entrances are at opposite ends of the property.  Both offer a high standard of  accommodation in a wonderful location.

Donegal itself is truly a place of breath-taking natural beauty.  It’s rugged coast has a shoreline etched with a multitude of beautiful bays and glorious sandy beaches.

This location is ideal for exploring Donegal – whatever you fancy.    Choices include a complete chill out,  10k walk, jog or cycle to the coral beach at St John’s Point,  sandy beaches, fishing, water sports, golf, entertainment such as traditional or country music.  Other options include shopping, visits to some of the many tourist attractions,  day trips to  an island or maybe visiting some art and craft shops that are dotted throughout the county.

Dunkineely is just a short distance from many attractions.  Do not leave without seeing “Sliabh Liag” ( 28kms) , the highest sea cliffs in Europe which offer a stunning view of the surrounding coastline and the waves from the Atlantic as they crash onto the shore 600 meters below.

For those who like to cook for themselves the kitchen has everything you would need, or if you prefer to dine out there are many good restaurants to choose from in the area.    There are 3 pubs in the village, some with regular entertainment, all with nice friendly locals ready to make you welcome and all less than 5 minutes walk from the house.

“The Snug” is the former location of Eddie Boyle’s Fish Processing Business. In the mid 1900s a thriving Salmon export business was run from downstairs. The living accommodation was upstairs, presumably for the fantastic views.
Pets are welcome.  There is WIFI at both apartments
